BIBLE TRUTH ABOUT THE SECOND COMING

John 14:1-3 ...'Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.'

This is my favorite verse in the whole of the Bible, and what a beautiful promise it is. After Jesus was crucified for our sins and resurrected, He went back to heaven. But He left us this wonderful promise that He would return one day to take His believers home. And the purpose of this site is to reveal the important Bible truth about the second coming of Christ Jesus.

We want to help people understand the Bible truth about Jesus' second coming amongst a world full of error, as there is so much confusion out there about when and how Jesus will return. But there is no need for all the confusion, because the scriptures are very clear on this topic, and here we will give clear and concise evidence from the Word of God to give you a true understanding about the second coming of Christ.

Can we know when Christ will return? Well, no-one knows the day or the hour as it says in Matthew 24:36 ...'But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.' ... But we can know when the second coming of Jesus is near, as it says in Matthew 24:30,33 ...'And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory ... So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.'

The word 'it' in this verse refers to the second coming. So we can know when we are close to the return of Jesus Christ, if we are watching the signs of the end times and waiting for our Lord, and studying His Word, especially Bible prophecy. Then we can know, as the scripture says, when it's "even at the doors". In other words, just about to happen!

ARE YOU PREPARING?

This world is going to be destroyed after the second coming of Christ Jesus. So please, if you have anything in your life that is holding you back from giving your all for Jesus, then let it go today. Today is the day to give your heart fully to Christ. Don't let the cares of this world spoil your relationship with Him and ultimately your salvation. Let go of this world and give your all to Jesus and focus your mind on His heavenly kingdom. We need to be a holy people for God, to be able to stand before Jesus when He returns. Otherwise we will be consumed by His glory. There's no time to waste, please get ready today!

How can we really know if we are living during the end times just before the second coming of Jesus? Well, we need to prayerfully study the Bible, and compare it with what is going on in the world, by keeping an eye on end times news. We need to be like the Bereans, who studied the Bible every day, searching for the truth ... Acts 17:11 ...'These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.' ... The problem these days is that too many Christians are not studying the Word of God for themselves and just accept the traditional and popular teachings as truth. Don't even just accept our word as truth, but go and compare what we say with scripture, and then God will reveal the Bible truth to you about the second coming of Christ.

SIGNS OF THE SECOND COMING

There are many end time signs we see that tell us we are living close to the second coming of Christ Jesus. Just take a look at the great image of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2. That image shows the kingdoms of this earth right up to the time that Christ Jesus returns at the second coming. Now the feet of that image is the last stage of this world before Christ returns, because it shows in Daniel 2 that a rock comes to hit the feet and smash the image. That rock is Christ. 2 Peter 3:3-4 ...'Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.' ... Remember, there will always be those who scoff at the idea of the second coming of Christ Jesus being soon. This is because they do not know the Bible and they turn away from the truth. As it says above, they walk after their own lusts, rather than walking after the truth of God's Word, and they shut their eyes to what is happening in this world and are not waiting for Jesus' return. These people probably don't even WANT Jesus to return yet, because they are having too much worldly fun!

A WARNING TO WAKE UP

Now Jesus gave a stark warning to the world about His second coming which should make every person sit up and start truly living for Him and watching and waiting for His return.

Matthew 24:38-39 ...'For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.'

Right now, the church is sleeping, and God's people need to wake up before it is too late. Too many are caught up in the cares of this world, which isn't our home, to be concerned with Christ's second coming. As in the days of Noah, people were carrying on with their worldly lives, ignoring God's call and when the flood came, they were not prepared and it took them away and destroyed them. The same will happen to the world when Jesus will return at the second coming. The very sad thing is, many, many Christians will not be ready. They will not have prepared themselves, by giving their all to Christ and studying His Word each day. The Bible is full of beautiful promises, but it is also full of warnings to those who are not giving their all for Jesus. Are you getting ready?
